Spicy Shrimp Salad with Grapefruit

Tip: When you marinate shrimp in acids, they are likely to change color due to protein denaturation.

  • 4 Pieces Vita + ® Grapefruit Cups
  • 500 grams Medium shrimp, clean and shelled
  • 2 tablespoons Chipotle ground for the marinade
  • 1 teaspoon oregano for the marinade
  • ¼ Teaspoon Cumin for the marinade
  • ¼ Teaspoon Paprika for the marinade
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil for the marinade
  • C / N Salt for the marinade
  • C / N Pepper for the marinade
  • 1/3 Cup Apple cider vinegar for the vinaigrette
  • 2 tablespoons honey for the vinaigrette
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard for the vinaigrette
  • 2/3 Cup Olive oil for the vinaigrette
  • C / N Trio Eva® Lettuce Package
  • C / N Piece Red onion filleted
  • C / N Cup Cherry tomatoes in halves
  • C / N Cup Avocado sliced

Preparation method:

1.- In a bowl, separate the juice from the fruit from the Vita + ® grapefruit cups.

2.- Marinate the shrimp with the grapefruit juice, the chipotle chili, the oregano, the cumin, the paprika, the olive oil, the salt and the pepper for about 20 minutes.

3.- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the shrimp without the marinade for 3 minutes or until they are completely cooked. Withdraw and reserve.
