The seeds are put into a special oasis for their germination. They stay there from 14 to 17 days until the seedling has the right size in order to be transplanted to a bigger tray. During this stage, the seeds are not yet in direct contact with the water but watered directly in their trail.
Growth
Once germinated the root, the seedlings are transplanted (waiting for each one’s oasis) and they are placed in a bigger platter that allows the lettuces to have space to grow. This trails are put into the pools and remain there from 14 to 18 days.
Harvest
Once the lettuce reaches its youth stage, it is transplanted once again into an even bigger platter until it gets to its maturity stage. This stage lasts approximately 20 days. Once it has the right size to be harvested, each lettuce is selected to be taken to the packaging line inside the greenhouse.
