The seeds are put into a special oasis for their germination. They stay there from 14 to 17 days until the seedling has the right size in order to be transplanted to a bigger tray. During this stage, the seeds are not yet in direct contact with the water but watered directly in their trail.
Once germinated the root, the seedlings are transplanted (waiting for each one’s oasis) and they are placed in a bigger platter that allows the lettuces to have space to grow. This trails are put into the pools and remain there from 14 to 18 days.
Once the lettuce reaches its youth stage, it is transplanted once again into an even bigger platter until it gets to its maturity stage. This stage lasts approximately 20 days. Once it has the right size to be harvested, each lettuce is selected to be taken to the packaging line inside the greenhouse.
What is hydroponics?
It is a sustainable farming system that allows the harvesting of vegetables without the need of soil or ground.

No, we recommend simply washing them with cold water.
What’s the difference between an EVA lettuce and a field one?
The EVA hydroponic lettuces don’t have contact with the ground. In that sense, they are not exposed to plagues and bacteria.
How long can EVA lettuce last?
Up to 20 days in optimal conditions.
Is it natural that plants do not feed on soil?
This is a completely natural system because plants do not feed from the soil but from the minerals that are available on them.
Why once harvested the lettuce is kept with the root?
To maintain its moisture and time of life
In which season can I find lettuce, spinach and hydroponic leaves?
All year long, as they do not depend on the weather.
